11 Dhul Hijjah · Jamarat Bridge — all three pillars
Ramy on the 11th
رمي الجمرات — اليوم الحادي عشر
After zawal (when the sun passes its peak), stone the small, then middle, then Aqabah — seven pebbles each, 21 in all. Pause for dua after the first two, not after Aqabah.
When. After zawal until Maghrib is the sunnah. Before zawal does not count — repeat it after zawal, or a dam is due if the days end (Ibn Baz). After sunset until dawn is allowed on the view he preferred. The 13th ends at sunset.
Steps
1Start with the small jamrah (closest to Mina camps), seven pebbles, then step aside and make dua facing qiblah.
2Middle jamrah, seven, dua again.
3Aqabah, seven, then leave. No dua after the last.
4Return to Mina for the night. Sleeping in Mina on the 11th is required for most.
Keep in mind
Throwing before zawal on the 11th–13th does not count. Repeat after zawal.
If you cannot go, a trusted companion may throw for you after throwing for themselves.
Common mistakes
Wrong order of the three pillars.
Skipping the nights in Mina without a concession (people of siqayah historically; today: hospitals, genuine crowding risk — ask).
