Same as the 11th: 21 pebbles after zawal, small-middle-Aqabah. If you leave Mina before Maghrib, your Hajj stoning is finished. If Maghrib finds you still in Mina, you stay for the 13th.
When. After zawal. Leave Mina before sunset if you are taking the early departure (nafr awwal).
Steps
1Stone all three after zawal, as on the 11th.
2Collect your belongings. If the bus can clear Mina before Maghrib, you may go to Makkah.
3If you are still inside Mina at Maghrib, plan ramy on the 13th.
Keep in mind
The Qur’an praises both those who hurry in two days and those who stay. Neither is a lesser Hajj.
Traffic on the 12th afternoon is the worst of the week. Walk if you are able and your camp is close.
Common mistakes
Throwing at Fajr to beat the traffic — it does not count.
Leaving a suitcase in the tent and assuming you can return after Maghrib without staying.
